Its excellent score on Steam makes it clear that it is one of the best games in its category released in recent years. And now, at last, Android users can finally enjoy it on their smartphones and tablets.
Dungreed is an action title recently released on Android, created by Team Horay, which has remained at the top of indie game and roguelike charts since its launch in 2018. It stands out for its retro graphics, well-designed controls, and procedurally generated maps full of secrets.
Its creators describe it as a dungeon crawler, where your mission is to become a knight of the kingdom responsible for rescuing villagers from the city, taken over by mysterious enemies emerging from a dungeon.
These enemies won’t make it easy for us, as in case of dying in one of the dungeons, all items will be lost and our hero is sent back to the city to start again. For this reason, it’s a good idea to take advantage of dungeon training sessions before exploring them.
Before starting the adventure, it will be possible to equip yourself with different short or long-range weapons, from staffs and swords to cutting-edge sniper rifles. It is also possible to improve your character’s attributes and use items and food to gain strength in combat.
All levels of Dungreed feature an inn where you can recover lost health during battles.
Its Android version has been perfectly adapted, with intuitive touch controls and support for Bluetooth or USB controllers.
This is a paid game, which costs $5.49. It contains no ads or in-app purchases, and it can be downloaded now through the Google Play Store.
