Do you want to create a bleeding build and equip a talisman that enhances this effect? In this Elden Ring guide, we’ll tell you which talisman to choose and most importantly, where to find it.
The bleeding build in Elden Ring is very popular; it allows triggering additional damage through bleeding accumulation. Its popularity is due to its ability to deal heavy damage during boss fights or PvP.
The bleeding set can be customized in many ways and often depends on your affinity with your weapons.
For example, you can find a combination of two katanas, one with a dual passive effect of frost/bleeding (Ice Uchigatana) and the other focused on bleeding to generate two different accumulations on your opponents. Alternatively, there’s the classic set with the Bloody River; it’s a katana that has the unique skill “Bloody Slaughter” known to be devastating in PvP.
Apart from katanas, you can also find other sets to play with bleeding (Reduvia, Mohgwyn’s Holy Lance, Eleonora’s Twinblade, etc). They are more complex to master but still have a certain charm.
Combined with spells or skills (Seppuku, Bloodfire Blade, etc.) and blood-related equipment pieces, you can quickly become the hemorrhage expert.
Which talisman for a bleeding build?
For a perfect combination with a bleeding build, there aren’t many talismans. In fact, there’s only one accessory that can enhance your attacks in case of bleeding. It is the Bloodlord’s Exultation. You won’t be able to get it at the beginning of your adventure, but halfway through, as it’s located in the sewers of Leyndell, the capital.
Bloodlord Exultation, where to find it?
To obtain this talisman, you’ll need to go to the Leyndell Catacombs located in the capital’s sewers.
Starting from the grace site “Underground Path”, head towards the pipe-filled room with gargoyles. Jump onto the platform on the right, then jump again to the lower platform.
Climb up the pipe you just landed on, then find a drop point to a slightly lower pipe. On that same pipe, find another drop point to land safely at the bottom of the sewers.
The entrance to the Leyndell Catacombs is in the recess on your right. Run along the wall, and you’ll be able to escape the lobster that wants to kill you.
Once in the dungeon, all you have to do is reach the boss room, which is Esgar, the Blood Priest.
What equipment to choose for a bleeding build?
For a bleeding build, the Bloodlord’s Exultation and the White Mask are essential for enhancing your composition. They increase the power of your attacks in case of nearby bleeding, so they are more than necessary in this build.
To complete your talisman set, you can use the World Tree Favor, the Draconic Pavis Talisman, Alexander’s Fragment, or Marika’s Scarred Seal. It ultimately depends on you, your gameplay, and your affinities.
However, we strongly recommend getting Alexander’s Fragment, especially if you use your weapons’ skills. You can obtain it by completing his quest.
Finally, regarding your armor, we tend to suggest medium weight heavy armor (in addition to the White Mask). Playing with a light load can be quite complex, especially if you’re not used to dodging like a hound.
